About Manali

A Himalayan Escape Filled With Nature & Adventure

Manali is a beautiful mountain destination in Himachal Pradesh, set in the Beas River valley and surrounded by deodar forests, dramatic mountain landscapes and snow-covered peaks.

A Manali journey can be much more than a visit to the town itself. The surrounding region offers scenic valleys, temples, waterfalls, adventure activities, heritage sites and high-altitude landscapes. From Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel to Naggar, Vashisht and Kullu, there is plenty to explore around Manali.

Manali – The Heart of the Valley

Begin your journey with Mall Road, Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple, Old Manali, Manali Gompa and the peaceful banks of the Beas.

The town combines mountain scenery, local culture, cafés, shopping and easy access to many major excursions.

Solang Valley

Close to Manali, Solang Valley is a popular excursion with open meadows, forests and dramatic mountain views.

Depending on the season, visitors can enjoy paragliding, zorbing, ropeway rides and winter sports.

Atal Tunnel & Sissu

The Atal Tunnel provides a spectacular route from the Manali side towards Lahaul, with dramatic mountain scenery throughout the drive.

A day excursion can be extended towards Sissu when road and weather conditions permit.

Naggar – History & Himalayan Heritage

Naggar sits above the Beas Valley and offers a quieter side of the Manali region. Naggar Castle, traditional temples and mountain views make it a natural addition to a Manali itinerary.

Travellers can also explore the Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery and nearby heritage sites.

Kullu – The Valley of Gods

Kullu lies along the Beas River and forms a natural part of a longer Manali road journey. The valley is known for forests, orchards, river landscapes and strong local traditions.

Kullu can be included on the way to or from Manali depending on the selected route.

Vashisht & Hot Springs

Vashisht is a traditional village close to Manali, known for its ancient temple and natural hot-water springs.

The village can easily be combined with a Manali local sightseeing day.
