About Nainital

A Journey Through Uttarakhand's Lake District

Nestled in the lush green valleys of the Kumaon Himalayas, Nainital is Uttarakhand’s prized “Lake District.” Framed around the eye-shaped emerald waters of Naini Lake, this charming hill station boasts pine-scented mountain air, colonial-era architecture, vibrant bazaars, and revered spiritual sanctuaries like Kainchi Dham and Naina Devi Temple.

Whether you are planning a serene weekend around Bhimtal and Sattal, a soulful pilgrimage to Neem Karoli Baba’s Kainchi Dham, or an extended exploration across Ranikhet, Almora, and Mukteshwar, we provide specific vehicle rentals based on your travel plans. From compact hatchbacks for quick mountain getaways and comfortable sedans for family trips to heavy-duty SUVs like Innova Crysta and spacious Tempo Travellers for multi-destination group tours, CAB4SURE guarantees safety, comfort, and seasoned mountain drivers.

Nainital & Bhimtal – Iconic Emerald Waters

Nainital centers around Naini Lake, where colorful wooden yachts glisten against Seven Hills (Saptashring). Take a leisurely boat ride, seek blessings at Maa Naina Devi Temple along the northern bank, and shop along the lively Mall Road.

A short 22 km drive brings you to Bhimtal—a larger, quieter lake featuring a charming island aquarium in its center, ancient Bhimeshwar Mahadev Temple, and serene lakeside walking tracks.

Sattal & Naukuchiatal – Tranquil Hidden Gems

Sattal is a mysterious cluster of seven interconnected freshwater lakes surrounded by dense oak and pine forests. It serves as a haven for bird watchers, nature photographers, and adventure enthusiasts who enjoy kayaking and zip-lining.

Nearby Naukuchiatal, the “lake of nine corners,” offers peaceful waters, paragliding over lush green hills, and tranquil lakeside stays away from bustling city crowds.

Jim Corbett National Park – Safaris & Waterfalls

India’s oldest national park, Jim Corbett is world-renowned for its Royal Bengal Tiger population, wild Asian Elephants, and dense Sal forests along the Ramganga River. Venture into core safari zones like Dhikala, Bijrani, Jhirna, and Dhela on morning and evening 4×4 open-jeep rides.

Visit the picturesque Corbett Waterfall hidden amidst dense teak woods, stop by Garjiya Devi Temple perched on a huge rock in Kosi River, and learn rich history at the Corbett Museum.

Kainchi Dham & Ghorakhal – Sacred Sanctuaries

Kainchi Dham is a world-renowned spiritual ashram established in 1962 by Neem Karoli Baba. Nestled between two hills with a sparkling mountain stream flowing alongside, it attracts devotees from across the globe seeking divine peace and spiritual rejuvenation.

En route lies Ghorakhal, famous for the revered Golu Devta Temple—the “God of Justice”—where thousands of bells ring in devotion, alongside sweeping views of Bhimtal valley.

Kuldhara – The Abandoned Ghost Village

Kuldhara is an eerie, abandoned heritage village situated about 18 km from Jaisalmer. Inhabited by prosperous Paliwal Brahmins in the 13th century, the entire population of 84 surrounding villages mysteriously deserted their homes overnight in the 1800s to protect their honor from a tyrannical minister.

Today, walking through its stone ruins, step-wells, and deserted streets offers a fascinating dive into history, folklore, and local legends.

Desert National Park – Thar Ecosystem

Spanning over 3,162 square kilometers, Desert National Park is one of India’s largest protected national parks, preserving the unique fragile ecosystem of the Thar Desert with sand dunes, craggy rocks, and dry scrubland.

It serves as a critical habitat for the endangered Great Indian Bustard, desert foxes, chinkaras (gazelles), eagles, and ancient 180-million-year-old wood fossils at Wood Fossil Park.
